Policies, Terms & Conditions

SHIPPING FLOWERS

  • I understand that I am responsible for shipping or dropping off my flowers to Petals of Poppy.

  • I understand that failure to follow the provided shipping instructions may result in damaged flowers that are unsuitable for preservation. Depending on the condition of the flowers, Petals of Poppy may recommend adjusting the size or style of the final piece. If the flowers cannot be salvaged, the order may be canceled and refunded at the discretion of Petals of Poppy.

  • I understand that if I send any vases, ribbons, charms, pendants, pins, or other decorative items with my bouquet, these items may not be returned if not stated beforehand. If I wish to keep them, I will remove them before shipping.

THE PROCESS

  • I understand that flowers will be preserved in the condition in which they are received. If flowers arrive bruised, wilted, or damaged, those characteristics may remain visible in the final piece. If certain flowers are not suitable for preservation, I may be offered the option to purchase replacement blooms through Petals of Poppy's replacement program.

  • I understand that flowers naturally change during the preservation process. Color variations and fading are expected and are a normal part of working with natural materials. For example, white flowers may develop cream tones or an antique looking color while reds may deepen into purple hues.

  • I understand that some flowers and bouquet elements may not be suitable for preservation due to their thickness, size, structure, or condition.

  • I understand that I may request any unused preserved flowers or greenery from my bouquet be returned to me for an additional fee. If I do not request this option, the remaining floral materials become the property of Petals of Poppy.

  • I understand that certain bouquet styles or flower varieties may require special consideration and that Petals of Poppy reserves the right to determine whether a bouquet is suitable for preservation.

  • I understand that the Petals of Poppy team will communicate with me using the email address and phone number provided on my order. It is my responsibility to ensure my contact information is accurate and up to date. Any updates should be sent to contact@petalsofpoppy.com.

FINAL PRODUCT

  • I understand that once my bouquet enters the design stage, I will receive a mockup of the arrangement for approval before the final piece is completed. I may request up to three revisions before the design is finalized and moved into production.

  • I understand that while every effort is made to package my piece securely, damage may occur during shipping. If damage occurs, I agree to leave the piece as received, photograph the damage immediately, and email Petals of Poppy at contact@petalsofpoppy.com before discarding any packaging materials.

  • I understand and agree to the cancellation and refund policies outlined below.

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS

  • I understand that I am fully responsible for any tariffs, import taxes, duties, customs fees, or other charges associated with international shipping.

  • I understand that international orders may incur additional shipping costs if carrier rates exceed the original estimate.

  • I understand that if my piece arrives damaged internationally, I am responsible for coordinating repairs locally. Petals of Poppy is not responsible for return shipping costs to the United States for repairs.

  • I understand that once my package leaves the United States, responsibility for delivery transfers to the shipping carrier and destination country.

SHIPPING POLICY

If you are an out-of-state client, please make sure to note you need to ship your bouquet. Shipping flowers for preservation requires care and attention, and Petals of Poppy will guide you through the process every step of the way.

After your order is placed, you will receive detailed instructions on how to properly package and send your flowers to the studio. The cost of shipping your flowers to Petals of Poppy is the responsibility of the client.

LOCAL DROP-OFF & PICK-UP POLICY

Local clients may drop off and pick up. Petals of Poppy is based in Niskayuna, New York, and clients choosing this option will be contacted to arrange a drop-off or pick-up time after their order has been placed.

CUSTOM & OVERSIZED PIECE SHIPPING POLICY

Due to their size, weight, and packaging requirements, larger pieces often require specialized shipping materials and handling to ensure they arrive safely.

Shipping costs for oversized or custom pieces will be calculated and invoiced once the project is complete. Clients are welcome to request an estimated shipping quote before production begins.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Because floral preservation begins shortly after flowers arrive, cancellations cannot be guaranteed once preservation work has started.

If you choose to cancel your order within 48 hours of placing it, you will receive a full refund.

After 48 hours, a 10% service fee will be deducted from the refund amount.

If your flowers have already arrived at the studio, a 20% service fee will be deducted from your refund. At this stage, your flowers have entered the preservation process and work has already begun on your order. If you would like your flowers returned after cancellation, the 20% fee will still apply and return shipping costs will be your responsibility.

If your order has entered the design stage, which typically begins several months after flowers arrive at the studio, Petals of Poppy may retain a percentage of the total order value. By this stage, substantial time, labor, materials, and design work have already been invested into creating your piece.

To request a cancellation, please email contact@petalsofpoppy.com with your order information and reason for cancellation.

RETURN & REFUND POLICY

Custom Preservation Pieces

Due to the custom nature of floral preservation, returns and refunds are not offered on custom orders.

Each piece is created specifically for the client using their flowers, making every preservation project one of a kind. Clients will have the opportunity to review and approve a design mockup before final production to ensure they are happy with the overall layout and design direction.

If an error has occurred on the part of Petals of Poppy, please reach out and every reasonable effort will be made to resolve the issue.

Bouquet recreation deposits are non-refundable.
